My Story

Scotty's have supported me since around 2011, as my father John Murphy took his own life owing to PTSD from the army on 7th January 2007. They provided me with countless opportunities and help, including but not limited to mascot tickets to an England vs Belgium football game which allowed me to walk out onto the pitch at Wembley with the players, mental health support from Winston's Wish when I felt as though no one else was there for me, and countless Christmas parties , gifts and cards to make me feel valued.

Now, as a 20 (will be 21 at the time of the race) year old man who is on the Springboarder programme Scotty's offers to its 18-25 year old members, I want to give back what they gave me so that other kids can have the same opportunities I was given by them. I don't ask for much, but even if you just take a look at their website and what they do and inform yourself of their services then that's good enough for me.
